Thank You Aaron

I was reading Michelle Malkin today and I came across her sad post.

You can Click on the Title of this post to be taken directly to Michelle's Website where her Post appears. I hope she does not mind I am linking to her site. I have a feeling she won't. I want to get the word out on Twitter for People to Follow and offer condolences to Mr. Masters on the ultimate sacrifice of his son.

This is very sad news indeed. It illustrates the point I made in my previous post. Our Brave Soldiers are giving their lives everyday. Say a Prayer for the Soul of Aaron Fairbairn, 21 Years Old. Also Pray everyday that all our Troops stay safe throughout the world, particularly in Afghanistan and Iraq. I have a feeling that we will be reading about more fatalities, given the recent events.

"David M. Masters passed along devastating news on Twitter this evening that his son, Aaron, was one of two American soldiers killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan today."
Click on Mr. Master's name to be taken directly to his Twitter Profile. Follow him and leave a
kind word. We might be able to alleviate his grief a tiny bit. I hope so. He should be very proud of his Son. I know he is and perhaps when he sees the outpouring of support from all the kind people on Twitter, his heart might be a bit less heavy. Remember to use the hash tag #thankyouaaron when you're on Twitter.

Read the Full Story On Michelle's Site.
Let me direct you to these beautiful Soldiers Prayers. I found this site while I was researching this post, it has lovely music too.
Here is a Prayer from St. Francis: The Lord bless you and keep you; May He show His face to you and have mercy. May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace. The Lord bless you. Amen.
Update Monday Night: Mr. Master's just tweeted this;
here is a link to a YouTube video about his son, Aaron:
RT @davidmmasters The Official Fox News Clip about the "Thank You Aaron," phenomenon on You Tube: http://bit.ly/15j0EG
Also, Aaron's Home Town Newspaper has more of his story, here is an excerpt.
Then, on Saturday, Fourth of July morning, an Army chaplain and soldier showed up at their Aberdeen house and told him Pvt. Aaron Fairbairn, 21, had been fatally injured in a truck bombing. Based on news accounts, Masters believes Fairbairn was one of two soldiers fatally injured when a Taliban insurgent drove an explosives-filled truck through the gates of a U.S. base in Afghanistan's eastern Paktika province.
According to Associated Press reports, the attack on the base was part of a multipronged attack in the Paktika province and came as thousands of U.S. Marines in the country's south continued with a massive anti-Taliban push. Last month, 3,800 soldiers from Ft. Lewis' 5th (Stryker) Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division started being deployed to southern Afghanistan as part of the war against the Taliban forces. It marks the first time that Stryker Brigade soldiers — who have served in Iraq — have been deployed to the more rugged terrain of Afghanistan.
TUESDAY NIGHT UPDATE: JULY 7TH:
I was reading twitter and I got a Direct Message from Mr. Masters,
Aarons Father: davidmmasters: Thank you for honoring Aaron's sacrifice, and the sacrifices that have been (and will be) made by others.
Then I saw that Sarah Palin Did a Tweet about Aaron and the other Soldier who Passed Away: AKGovSarahPalin I am so sorry for our country's loss. See http://tinyurl.com/knyz8r
I Messaged Aarons Father back asking if he had seen this, and provided the link, (check it out .... lovely letter Gov. Palin wrote.)
Well, I'm glad I passed this tweet along to Mr. Masters,
because he had NOT seen it!
He was very happy and wrote me back: Oh, ... thanks for the update. We haven't had the TV or radio on since we got the news. It's nice to get updates, like this. Bless you!
So dear Readers, we are making a difference, and people are taking notice of these brave hero's. They are the ones who should be filling stadiums with Memorial Services, not washed up, drug addled pedophiles who didn't have a heroic moment in their sorry lives.

Bunni, thank you for doing ch this story on the real unheard of heroes that this holiday is really about. Do you mind if I repost this on the Manifesto? I think this story shows what kind of heart you have. That is what I like about you. Most people could take the day off, or do a story on how many fireworks they shot off. Thanks for making any Vet who reds this proud to have served and realize how much we appreciate their sacrifice to protect our freedoms. It's posts like this that make all of our followers so special.

You know what's disturbing? #thankyouaaron doesn't even trend in the top 10 on Twatter...oh, "Rasheed wallace" and "hannah montana" trend real friggin' high, but...

I'm sorry, but I sometimes find the Twatsphere as useful as F@#kfacebook....

May God be with Aaron and his parents.

That's my ONE serious comment for the week, so don't taunt me a second time.

Hi Bunni,

You hardworking American! Your tribute to our heroic soldiers touched my heart because they are the true heroes of this land and thanks for taking the time to so poetically honor them!

Hi A33:
How nice of you to repost this on you & Kooks great blog. That is fine with me. Your compliment is sweet. I do have a good heart for people who deserve it...don't let that get around....hee hee.

I think it's important to honour the REAL hero's not media created nuts whose sole claim to fame was dropping dead early (& molesting kids). We can see where the public's priorities are. That is why the USA is in BIG TROUBLE!

Hi Dr. Dave!
Thanks for the comments. I was thinking the same thing when I posted this and was trying to get the #thankyouaaron tag going. I couldn't figure how such STUPID topics were trending.

Considering this is the same public that voted for Obummer and fiddles on facebook while we burn, what do you expect? It's important to honour the true Hero's, not miscreants.

I'm happy to be your one serious comment this week! You can go back to your hilarity for now.

Hey Diva, Glad you got on and commented, always nice to see you!

We are happy to share the blessing of a growing blog with those who are helping it grow. If it weren't for smaller blogs like yours complementing us, others would not come on and check us out. Now we even have a few liberals joining up. I have often wished for some liberals to debate. I ask that all of you treat them as fairly as we treat everybody. It is amazing how they have expected to be attacked, insulted and maligned and we have shocked them be treating them like everyone else. I believe that doing so may help them to get past all the personal attacks and on to the issues...which may just change their minds on things once they can have a real debate.

FL Tea party drama
The Port St.Lucie tea party was held at a community event called "Freedom Fest" which is held at the St Lucie fairgrounds. The Tea Party was held at section 2 of the fairgrounds. The City Council placed a huge sign in front of the section in an admitted attempt to hide the Tea Party. Next week the City Council is having a meeting and the Tea Party folks are planning to invade it.
I suggest calling the mayor and city council and telling them what you think the Mayor's/city council's phone # (407) 871 5159 and their website www.cityofpsl.com Let's pass this to every conservative tea party supporting site we can!!!!

Hello Rev. G:
I know Aaron is with God, so he is better off than we are at the moment.
I agree, BO is being played for the fool that he is, esp. in Russia.
Tell Munchkin hello and that she is a talented, cute pooch. Thanks for saying hi too.

Nice Christian Girls in S.E Florida are as rare as snowfall here. It did snow back in 1976. NIce Christian Girls that aren't afraid of Asian Leopards are extinct. Keemo tends to freak out near strangers. She chased the DirectTV repair guy out of the house last time it got struck by lightning.

Rev Gregori needs to realize that Obama is on of those who despise us!!!!

Amusing Bunni said...

Hey A33:
Yeah, I've been told I'm pretty rare..tee hee
If I had on a nice leather suit so I couldn't get scratched, I don't think I"d be afraid of Keemo, I love all animals.
I've guessed she is the second from the right in the kittens pic you sent! They all were too Cute!

Andrew33 said...

The problem would be Kee being afraid of you. these cats when exposed to strangers become reclusive, then the defend their territory. When owning one, you learn that you live in it's house.

HI Bunni. After the drama that ensued from inviting NC over to do a blog post, I needed to chill out. Your blog is good for that. The guy that i invite over to do a guest blog in favor of Global Warming on the manifesto is laying low, while his pal is hurling insults at us. I finally put him in his place (with no vulgarity) but still, I do not like being like that. Still, like when Christ turned over the tables of the scam artists in the temple, sometimes enough is enough and I felt it was time to defend myself and our blog. I tried to be fair and give a blogger on a tiny blog a free post on a big blog and all I get is insults. That goes to show the left for you.

The world has lost a hero. The supply of these is getting thinner.

Andrew33 said...

Look at these blogs. There are alot of heros out there, they just need time and motivation.

Bunni, thanks for the comments over at my site!

Don't get you started on the First Wife, you say?

Lazy King: Yes, it's been a sad week with all our Great American Hero's Passing Away. GOD rest their souls, and GOD Help America.
Good to see you, buddy.

Hi Nickie:
Yes, Heros are in very short supply these days, especially in government. Our Military has the lion's share of them, I hope they stay safe.

Amusing Bunni said...

Andrew:
I read all about the drama with that nut NC, you guys were too tolerant of him! Like you say, what do you expect from a lib (and an x-tra jerky one, at that).

Don't let the insults get you down, consider the source and wear them as a badge of honour! Take Care of yourself...purr's to Kee.

Hello Track-a-Crat
I'm glad you found my blog and are following. Your's is really great, and your tweets. I'm enjoying it a bunch already!

You had to taunt me with that lst wookie link, so I made a hopefully funny comment. If it wasn't so horrible, those two are a comedy writers dream...too bad the msm and late night comics are worshipers and not critics.

LazyKing said...

@Bunni, my pleasure

Hi Lazy King: Thanks for stopping by again, I'm glad you find my political stuff entertaining too. I say you have to laugh at it sometimes or you'll just cry non-stop. Luv ur Blog's new look!

AD33: Yes, I would say you got the last word in very well. Time to let them disappear into the dust where they came from (dust between their ears, too).

Andrew33 said...

Actually I did that early yesterday. NC popped up out of nowhere and claimed he knew nothing about what was said. He claimed he wanted to take my original offer. I said I would if he fixed what happened on his blog. Then he went back to name calling. As I said on my blog, he can debate all he wants, but in comments only. No more name calling for me thanks.

Check out my "I need help post." You will get a good laugh at Obama's expense.

Andrew33 said...

Now, don't you feel better after seeing "I need help". Your post was funny. Actually they have all been funny. It changed the mood a bit after the last few days.

Snarky Basterd said...

Thanks for stopping by today, Bunni. Just around the time you were by I was actually working on a post in which a blogger friend of mine and I gave the First Wookie her new name. Check it out when you have a chance. And enjoy your weekend!

Last night by the way, someone left the door cracked to the linen closet. Only things in there towels washrags and toilet paper rolls for the guest bathroom. Do you see what's coming? Kee got every rag and evrey towel, carried them all over the house, put them on shelves under chairs, all through living room, kitchen and bedrooms. Then she shredded toilet paper and dragged it all over house on top of the towels while everybody in the house was asleep. She cleaned out the entire closet from top to bottom. It was beautiful. Not a speck there. The rest of the house was not as lucky. Then she climbed up to the top shelf in the linen closet, curled up and went to sleep. We will be finding rags towels and toilet paper in strange places for months. It was so funny that I really couldn't get mad. That was in a part of the house that stays totally closed off to her usually. Those are the things that so great for people who can handle them. Most folks wouldn't be so understanding, but in the wild that is how these cats live. They adapt their environment to them. our usual cats adapt to their environment.

Amusing Bunni said...

Kees Adventure sounds very funny! I bet you'll keep the door closed more often now. They are wild animals and will behave as such.

Andrew33 said...

We always do for rooms we don't want her in. Once she knows the rules of a room, she will not do anything like that and is the most well behaved as far as things like not scratching furniture or such things of any cat I have owned. But when she goes in a room where she doesn't know the rules, she will cry and cry and cry until someone comes along and tells her what to do, but her cries fell on sleeping ears, so there was no one there to tell her no, she thought it was okay to do what she wanted. Once she is told no one time about an activity, she will never repeat that activity.
The original plan was to get her declawed as attempts to clip her claws at 12 weeks caused too much bloodletting and claws did not get clipped. She turned out to be so good about such things that we never had it done since that is (to me) an action of last resort.

Use it while you have it!
