The Year is Almost Over!

Well, here it is, New Year's Eve Eve!  I don't know about you, but I'll be THRILLED to see the end of this horrid year.  We all know the #1 reason it sucked is that Usurper, Pretender Obumbles hijacked the White House and is turning America into a third world cesspool for socialists.  He might think he's doing a B+ job, however, even our friend,
Toby Harnden, who is the UK's Daily Telegraph's US Editor,
But let's not dwell on that right now! No use depressing ourselves more than necessary.  I have found a hilarious wrap up of the year by our funny friends at JibJab.
     "Octomom. Balloon Boy. Tiger Woods. If there's one thing for sure in this world, it's that as long as people are acting reckless, insane and just plain stupid (i.e. like people), there will always be plenty of material available for JibJab's annual "Year in Review" videos! "

You can see more funny video's by the Jib Jabbers on their YouTube Channel.
And, lest we forget it was a MONUMENTAL Year for News Happenings, with more being thrown at us every minute,
here is a great compilation of News Headlines from around the World.  This covers most every topic.

I'll say, to reply to Yahoo's ending NO WE CAN'T! This is from Russia Today
They always report what's REALLY going on. Obama is a Brand and is always
selling his agenda, he has the highest paid marketers in the world!
"Obama is New Words, but old tricks as US acts like empire"
    "A year has passed since U.S. President Barack Obama came into office promising change, many though are finding little difference between him and his predecessor, George W. Bush. RT's Marina Portnaya talks to journalist Margaret Kimberly about Obama's year."

"People should have known better!" Amen to that.

Despite all the awful News, I still believe for better days.

Marvelous Movie Reviews

It's time for Bunni's Movie Review.  You are in for a trailer laden treat, I will review Sherlock Holmes, and Avatar in this post.  For those of you in England, where I've been informed that the theatres close for the Christmas Holidays, you will have something to look forward to.  I went to the Christmas Day opening in Chicago, first show, of Sherlock Holmes.  I was surprised how packed the theatre was for a 10:15 am show!  I got a great seat and settled in to be transported to lovely London town at the turn of the Century.  I completely enjoyed this film by Guy Ritchie, it had his usual energy and great fight scenes, but not as frenetic as say, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.  The casting was brilliant, I loved the Villian, Lord Blackwood, played by Mark Strong. Jude Law and Robert Downey were the perfect pair of crime fighting pals, and Rachel McAdams was a feisty heroine.  The atmosphere was very evocative of the time and place.  You could feel the dampness of the rain washed cobblestone streets, the fog, and the hustle and bustle of the streets. The action and adventure and interesting plot were perfect for an escapist romp on a cold winter's day.  Below you can watch the trailer:
   "In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous characters, Sherlock Holmes sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country."

You can visit the Official Movie Site Here. Enjoy yourself, I'll see you in London.

The New York Times has a pretty decent Film Review, along with several cool links.
This Christmas weekend was the all time BIGGEST ever for movies. Deadline.com is reporting that it was a record setting time, with Avatar beating out Sherlock
Holmes. This confirms with my theory that in horrid times, people want to forget
their troubles and be entertained, I know I do.

Now on to AVATAR! I saw this 2 1/2 hour ground breaking film when it opened last
Friday. Spring for the 3-D glasses when you go see it, because you'll need
them to enjoy the full effect of the spectacular special effects.  I'm sure you've read lots of reviews and heard a lot about this movie, but all I can say is, don't get caught up in
the "politicizing" of it! I'm sure Cameron has his own liberal "greenie" propaganda.
If that's what you're looking for, you'll find it. However, I think it's a movie,
watch it, suspend belief, and appreciate it for what it is, an exciting trip into a new world with the most visually stunning effects I've ever seen. It was worth every penny of the 300 gajillion bucks and 10 years Cameron spend making it. I loved the forest world of the Navi, especially at night, where everything is glowing & beautiful.
I think you'll enjoy it too.
   "In the future, a paraplegic war veteran is brought to the planet Pandora which is inhabited by the Navi. The Navi is a humanoid race with their own language and culture, but the people of Earth find themselves at odds with the Navi."

Here is the Avatar Official Movie Website.

You can see James Cameron talking about the process of creating
Avatar on Charlie Rose. I think Charlie Rose is the best interviewer today,
no matter who he is speaking with. This is from The Daily Beast Dec. 18, 2009.

I hope you enjoyed this little escape from the day to day troubles of the world.
Lord knows there is enough bad news these days to drown us, I am tossing out
a few straws we can clutch and hopefully forget all that for a while.

Now if you want a BIG LAUGH, you've got to hop over to this post by The Big Yin
over at his great blog, Freedom-2-Choose. I had never seen Aussie
Steve Hughes before, and I'm glad I found him...he's hilarious. Steve's not very
PC, and there is a "language alert"
but it wouldn't be very funny without all that, now would it? Nope!

A Very Bunni Christmas!

It's Finally Christmas Day!  Bunni here, hopping by to wish you, my dear friends & readers, the Happiest Christmas ever.  I hope you are enjoying yourself with family, friends, pets, and the wonderful festivities of the season.  Even if you don't have any family or pets, like me, I'm sure you can still find things to make you happy.  We can take a break and watch some entertaining video's I've picked out to Cheer You today!  Enjoy and remember the reason for the Season.
The first one is the Christmas Adventure of Wilbur the Cat,
his father makes super episodes of his adventures
on his YouTube Channel  Eric Moyer.

Here are some Doggies now! To the tune of "Winter Wonderland"

Finally, I am including a lovely video direct from God to You!
        "Northern lights (aurora borealis) over Norway with the beautiful instrumental music of Mannheim Steamroller - "Stille Nacht" ("Silent Night").  This is the loveliest version I have heard, and Bergengirl88 did a super job with it.

I hope you enjoyed these selections, I have enabled the option of showing
related video's on all of them, in case you want to see more of each genre.
God Bless you all and your familes, pets, and friends too! Happy Christmas

Rare Music ~ Christmas Songs!

In keeping with Christmas themes, this week, instead of the dreary, horrid political stuff, that it seems we can't change now, no matter what we do....I'm posting Rare Musical Video's.  First up
"The Christmas Song" a lovely live version by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull.
I got inspired to search this out, because I just brought home today the excellent CD
"The Best of Acoustic" Jethro Tull (2007).  Their musical stylings are just perfect this time of year, and this is a wonderful CD, search it out if you haven't heard already.

Hey, Santa, Pass Us That Bottle, Will You?

Now we have this very interesting selection, Ian with Full Orchestra
      "German televison celebrates "Christmas with the president" (the german 'Bundespräsident') every year and 2006 they invited Ian Anderson from the group Jethro Tull to the beautiful monastary Maria Laach to play a few tunes with his band and the youth orchestra Rheinland-Pfalz. The show was broadcast on Christmas eve, 24.12.2006.
 Ians set includes "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen".

Finally, here is a touching Mini-Movie to "The Christmas Song" that has us
think about the real reason for the Season. It is very creative, thoughtful and
relevant today more than ever! It's from the YouTube Channel of lindabs1816
aka PeaceLady.

God Bless Us, Everyone! Especially YOU, my Friend!

The Night Before Christmas and Other Fun Stuff

  I found a wonderful rendition of "The Night Before Christmas" as told by that hilarious comic, John Cleese, of Monty Python Fame.
I'll bet you never saw and heard the story told quite this way!

In keeping with the Pythonesqe theme, check out this lovely, but very weird,
animated Christmas Card. This was one of the short Python films shown with
Life of Brian on its original cinema release in the UK.

Finally, here are some smart doggies setting up their home for the Christmas Holiday!
I need them to come visit the Bunni Hutch. I am not putting up a big tree, just a smaller
table top one, and floral arrangements.

I hope you enjoyed these video selections of Holiday Cheer.
I wish you and your family
(including pets, of course), my loyal friends, a Merry Christmas and
the Happiest of New Years!

Dysfunctional Christmas Carol's

 Ok, I've been thinking, maybe I've had too much cuteness, sweetness & light on my Blog lately.  Maybe some of you are getting tired of cuddly kittens, precious puppies and glee inspiring guinea pigs decked out in their Christmas finery.   Well then, this post is for YOU, Mr. Scrooge.

I found a video that's quite a good rant, and also a catchy "Anti-Christmas" anthem from none other than Al Jourgensen of Ministry!  Yes, Al is still around, and he would make the Grinch proud. He tells us, rather rudely, that he's not that fond of Christmas, and his wife made him do a Christmas song. Once you get past his rambings, it is pretty good.  "It's Always Christmas Time"

LANGUAGE ALERT, HE'S A BAD SANTA!
I do believe Uncle Al will be singing the following Carol's Next!

These are pretty good since the Holidays seem to make people crazy!
~~~~~~   CHRISTMAS CAROL'S FOR THE MENTALLY ILL  ~~~~~~
Seasonal Cheer to Beat the Monday Blahs!
I hope your Monday was better than mine.  We know from reading the news sites, that things are just getting
crazier and more awful every day.  I don't want to aggravate myself anymore than
I was today....which was awful, even by the usual standards.  So, it's time for
Cute Animals Spreading Christmas Cheer!  lst up, some very talented Guinea's!
Thanks to Woodsterman for sending to me, he always cheers us up!
Now we have some darling doggies singing Christmas Carols!
I would love to find these cuties under my tree on Christmas Morning, or any morning.
Finally, our Kitty Loving Pals must be represented! I know one special reader loves
little kitties as much as I do, so here's something to make you smile ;-)
I think those kitties got into the catnip! Very Far out and psychedelic.
These two are having fun playing. They must be related.
Lord Monckton Reveals Fraud
Breaking News! I have posted the first of a series of 5 Videos from the Alex Jones Show.  He is interviewing Lord Monckton Live from Copenhagen.  His experiences there so far are fascinating, saying if he was put off from getting the latest version of the Treaty, he was ready to "Cause an International Diplomatic Incident".  He was then provided a copy of the actual treaty they are discussing, it's AWFUL for USA & UK!  I LOVE this guy, he is a genius!  Britain needs more MP's like him!  I'm glad he's on OUR SIDE!
          Alex welcomes back to the show Lord Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, British politician, business consultant, policy adviser, writer, columnist, inventor and adviser to Margaret Thatcher's policy unit in the 1980s. Monckton is a vociferous critic of the climate scam gang. He reports from the summit.
Here is the direct link to Alex Jones YouTube Channel where you can watch
the other Parts, 2/5 thru 5/5 of the Interview, Right Here.
This is a Most Fascinating Interview! Lord Monckton's Website is here.
Science & Public Policy Institute.
The Guardian UK has a leaked document breaking today.
It's a Draft of the Copenhagen climate change agreement, named
the "Danish text". Things are breaking fast! It's unbelievably horrible!
We (Developed Countries, USA, UK) will be taxed 2% of our GNP, and all sorts
of levies for this one world government! This passes, we are SCREWED!
Global Levies on EVERYTHING! (listen to Video 3 of 5 for that horrific part).
Dear Lord, on Video 5/5 Lord Monckton tells the real truth....  If you only watch ONE video of this series, START WITH THIS ONE! BRILLIANT!
We must get on to all our Senators, only 10 more days of freedom left,
if this Treaty passes....we are dead. We'll be eating mud sandwiches like in Haiti.
Ok, deep breaths......after all that nightmarish info, I need to watch & show you, what else, a cute Kitty Video! Since the ENTIRE USA is in the middle of a Blizzard of Epic proportions, it's fitting we watch Kitties in the Snow!
This is from the Creative Channel of Hollys Dancing! I have the best friends
on YouTube, and they all make such lovely video's to calm our nerves! Enjoy.
UPDATE ~~~~> UPDATE Watch this video from "Russia Today" TV
 Around last 30 sec. of the vid They show BIG POSTER in Copehagen
